Watch your city grow... Or shrink
Once you have the railroad in place and people start coming and going, your city will start to develop. The game's advanced simulation engine will make your city grow just like an actual city, taking it from farmland to residential areas, city streets, and commercial areas, and finally to a bustling metropolis. However, if you don't remove obstacles in the way of your city's growth, it can stagnate or even shrink.
A wide variety of buildings
There are many different buildings that you can place in your city to help spur its development, including entertainment facilities like theaters and amusement parks, businesses like department stores and family restaurants, lodging facilities like hotels and hot spring inns, and landmarks like towers and exhibition halls. When you build these facilities, they become your subsidiaries, increasing the number of people who use your railroad while adding to your secondary income.
Your own unique city
The game's advanced simulation engine makes every time you play unique. Even if you play the game twice in exactly the same way, you will end up with two very different cities. You can make cities over and never make the same one twice.
