First get your train running
In A-Train HX, your city develops around its train station. So first you will build the station that will serve as the center of your city's growth. But of course just building the station won't do anything. You also have to have trains running and build roads for people to use.
First, we will build a station. In this case, we chose to build it on a flat plain with no obstacles nearby so we can build other buildings later on. We chose an elevated station, which will allow passengers to get on and off the train and should speed up the development of our city.
Then we build another station in a different location and connect them with train tracks.
Stations must be connected by train tracks. In this case there are no obstacles, so we can just lay the rail on the ground.
If there is water or a mountain in the way, you will need to build a bridge or a tunnel.
We bought a 5-car AR3 train because of its reasonable price and large passenger capacity. We won't have many passengers at first, so we could have gotten by with less than 5 cars, but we decided to go ahead and get 5 in order to avoid having to re-buy later on.
Now we place the train at the station platform and it's ready to go.
A little while after the train starts running between the stations, rice fields will crop up around each station. This shows a little development compared to the barren land that was there before, but there still aren't any buildings. There must be a reason why...
